The homeschooling parent is in a strong position to help their children grow at a more normal and healthy rate. There is so much early exposure outside the home to all types of negativity. Many parents rightly feel that so many things are too much for any child to learn about too early. Beyond that, many young children are unable to effectively cope with the harsh realities of the world. The child who is educated at home should not be ignorant of the world. However, the parent/teacher can inform their children about the world at a more appropriate age. That is something that holds a great appeal to many parents and understandably so. One of the great advantages of homeschooling is your child can receive the kind of education that takes individual talents into account. The parent is the best person to know what his or her child’s talents are, and also where there are areas that need special attention. That is something that is almost never possible at any school. Then the parent can devise a curriculum based on what is needed most.
